THE CAST WORKED WELL AS AN ENSEMBLE, COMPLIMENTING ONE ANOTHER! PRETTY MUCH AN ALL STAR CAST, BUT, MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES WERE: Christian Keyes and Valarie Pettiford, who played his mother. THAT MOTHER AND SON RELATIONSHIP WAS REAL! I LOVED ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WATCHED IT ON HULU and getting ready to watch it again! A MUST SEE FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DeitrickHaddon ATTENTION MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST, NETFLIX done went and did it again! I never would have seen the movie "Blessed & Cursed" featuring Deitrick Haddon. The movie is A+ and the SOUND TRACK is off the chain! It's the middle of the night and I'm ready to get my Praise and Worship going, ready to shout to the heavens HALLELUJAH and do the HOLY GHOST dance! Man, I'd heard "of" Deitrick Haddon, but, never thought twice about checking out his music. Well, I have been formally introduced to this brother through the film "Blessed & Cursed" and now, I am a new fan of Deitrick Haddon! THIS IS A MUST WATCH FILM, ESPECIALLY FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST! Another EXCELLENT movie that I saw a while back on NETFLIX. Rain’s relationship with her real grandmother, starts as a love-hate exchange, but ultimately turns into a loving one.

I could end my Movie Review of Burlesque with the above graphic! LOVED IT! Going to see it again with a girlfriend and my daughters.
This movie, in my opinion, was AWESOME! Cher, a seasoned performer, did NOT disappoint and Christina Aguilera, that girl can blow! For those of you who didn't know, Christina started on the MICKEY MOUSE CLUB along with Brittany Spears, Justin Timberlake and a few others. The media used to try to compare the two, Christina Aguilera and Brittany Spears. I didn't know then and I don't know now, how in heck they could even try to compare the two. Christina Aguilera is in a class all her own and far above Brittany Spears in talent and charisma. No dig intended against Brittany Spears, but, as a 47 year old black woman, I've ALWAYS thought that Christina Aguilera was TOP NOTCH. As an actress, if I had to choose between performers to do a character study and to try to mimick to up my game, it would be Christina Aguilera, hands down. I didn't even bother to read what the critics had to say because it didn't matter. I knew from the trailer that I would enjoy the movie, just by who was in it, but, I had not a clue just how much I was going to enjoy it. There were several stories being told basically with Christina's character being the focal point. The dance numbers were delightful, the soundtrack was AWESOME, the relationships between the characters were believable and the acting, on all accounts, were solid as a rock.
I highly recommend this movie and give it 5 STARS and an A+.
